August 2022 The 2022 Annual General Meeting occurred on Saturday 20th August, starting at 10:30am and finishing roughly an hour later. It was attended by just over 50 members. The minutes from the meeting will appear in the December copy of Sheetlines. There wasn't a guest speaker this year, so no relavant recording is available.
August 2021 Annual General Meeting talk (streaming length: 59m 42s) by David L Walker entitled 'The Ordnance and the Hydrographic Service 1811-1843'.
August 2020 Annual General Meeting talk (streaming length: 20m 28s) by Karen Rann entitled 'Contours: Lines of Subversion?'. Karen Rann is a visual artist who joined the society in 2018 and is currently working on her doctoral thesis at Queen’s University Belfast. The rationale is a novel approach (with some artistic licence taken) to the function of contour lines and their changed role from the 1800s to today.
